Schools Showjumping League, March 2015

Glenlola Collegiate School took part in this year’s Gransha Schools’ Showjumping league, sponsored by Doggart’s of Newtownards.

The monthly league began in September and the final was held on Saturday 21 March. The Key Stage 3 team of Phoebe Beaumont, Cerys Howell and Ashleigh Saunderson (all Year 8 pupils at Glenlola Collegiate) won their league and were presented with rugs from Gransha Equestrian Centre proprietor Adrienne Stuart. The Key Stage 4 league was also won by Glenlola Collegiate.

Team members varied throughout the season but included Jaclyn Brackenridge (Year 11), Ciara Gilroy (Year 12), Cerys Howell (Year 8), Leah Jackson, Amanda McVeigh, Alex Ryan (all Year 13) and Lois-Anne Townsley (Year 11). Cerys Howell also went on to win the 90cm league.

This is a fantastic result for the School.
