Year 9 Netball Success
The Year 9 ‘A’ netball team travelled to Lisburn Racquets on Tuesday 24th March to play Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College Knock in the final of the Northern Ireland Schools’ Cup. This is the highest level of competition in N. Ireland so to even get to the final was a huge achievement for the girls.
From the first whistle it was clear that Glenlola were the stronger team and by the end of the first quarter they already led by 5 goals! The girls continued to dominate throughout the match and emerged victorious, winning by 13 goals to 9.
This is an outstanding result and one that has not been achieved by a Glenlola team for many, many years. It is testament to the talent of this group of girls and the hard work that they have put in over the last two years.
