Success at the Irish Schools’ Athletics Finals, Co Offaly
On Saturday 1 June, at the Irish Schools Finals in Tullamore, Co Offaly, Glenlola achieved great success. The intermediate relay team won silver medals equalling the best Glenlola has ever achieved in a relay. Sarah Connolly got a bronze in the high jump with a personal best of 1.65m. Elleana Hull came 5th in the Javelin, throwing 27.83mm, and 6th in the 200m. Rebecca Rutherford came 5th in the high jump, jumping 1.50m, and Olivia Cummings came 6th in the 200m, running 26.9 seconds and jumped a personal best of 4.73 in the long jump.
This was a superb display of talent and a fabulous weekend for the girls.
