RYA NI Young Volunteer of the Year

Abbie Brown Year 11 was awarded ‘RYA NI Young Volunteer of the Year’ at the RYA ( Royal Yachting Association ) annual awards on Friday 15th February.  Presenting the award were Jackie Patton (former pupil of Glenlola & Chairman of RYA NI) & Ian Walker MBE ( Olympic medalist & Director of Racing for RYA).

This was wonderful recognition for Abbie as ‘Junior Commodore’ for Donaghadee Sailing Club & a great achievement given the vast number of entries from other sailing clubs.
