Open Night 2018

Open Night 2018 The staff and pupils of Glenlola were pleased to welcome a record number of visitors to this year’s Open Night.

Congratulations to Year 8 pupil, Rachael McMaster who has been chosen for the Ireland Olympic Development Team.  These are the top 15 girls in all Ireland and Rachael will take part in  5 weekend training sessions in preparation for the Olympics. This is an outstanding achievement. Well done Rachael!

Glenlola Collegiate pupil Cara Thompson, Year 13, spent a week of work experience recently at the County Down Spectator.  Cara’s article  on the Frustrations of a Modern Teenager was published in last week’s edition of the paper, 25 January 2018.

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation. Congratulations to Faith Blaney from 9C who competed at the weekend in the Youth Climbing Series Ireland first round and won first place.
