Athletics Success Continues!
Glenlola Collegiate enjoyed even more athletics success at the Ulster Schools Championships at Antrim Forum on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May. Some notable results were as follows:
Esther Lau finished 3rd in the Senior Girls Hammer
Elleana Hull won the Senior Girls Javelin and finished 4th in the SG Shot
Ellen Robinson won bronze medals in the SG 100m and 200m
Rebekah Rutherford won silver in the SG High Jump and Bronze in the SG Long Jump
The Senior 4 x 100m relay team won gold. The team was Anna Charlick, Saskia Greer, Elleana Hull and Ellen Robinson
The Intermediate 4 x 100m Relay Team won a bronze medal. The team was Emily Johnston, Olivia Vaughan, Emma Carlisle and Aimee Johnston (Emma Murdock –Reserve)
Rebecca Webb won a silver medal in the Junior Girls Long
Libby Morton won a bronze medal in the Junior Girls High Jump
The Junior 4 x 100m Relay Team won gold. The team was Elaina Vaughan, Louise Canning, Libby Morton and Rebecca
Finally Zoe Steen won a silver medal in the Minor Girls Shot Putt.
All the girls mentioned (apart from the Intermediate Relay Team) have now qualified to compete in the Irish School Championships in Tullamore, Co Offaly on the 4th June.
