Anti-Bullying Week 2012
Monday 19 November starts the annual Anti-Bullying Week campaign. This year’s theme is ‘We’re better without bullying’ and highlights the effects bullying has on achievement. Years 8 – 12 will be involved with assemblies all week, highlighting the seriousness of bullying and advice on how to deal with such unacceptable behaviour.
In September, pupils participated in the Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum’s ‘Everybody is Somebody’ Competition. There were two categories of entry – Creative Writing and Art. Out of 1200 entries, two girls from Glenlola were awarded prizes.
Our congratulations go to Saffy Monks-Smith who was awarded joint winner of the Senior Art Category and Grace Walker who was runner-up in the Intermediate Creative Writing Category. The girls will be presented with their prizes at Titanic Belfast on Tuesday 20 November.
