Parents of pupils in Year 12 participated in a ‘Tree of Knowledge’ event on the evening of Wednesday 24 October 2012. Ben Best highlighted the main aspects of the training session that the Year 12 girls had experienced and focused on good sleep habits and the importance of positive thinking. Parents experienced for themselves the way that the brain can absorb ‘suggestion’ through a fun ‘polo mint’ activity!
At the end of the event parents completed and evaluation, and from 40 responses, 88% of parents found the evening ‘very useful’ while 100% of parents expressed the opinion that the event had been useful or very useful. 95% of parents felt that the session had better prepared them to support their daughters in their GCSE studies.
