SENTINUS Young Innovators 2014
Jessica Courtney, Amber Cummins and Emiko Seawright represented the Y10 Biology Research Group at SENTINUS Young Innovators 2014 on Friday 20 June. The group won the Junior Young Scientist trophy and £100 for their project which surveyed local schools, places of worship and sports complexes to investigate the distribution of portable defibrillators in the Bangor area. They will extend the project next year to include local businesses and retail outlets. A map produced to illustrate the distribution of defibrillators will be made available to the local community.
The group would like to recognise the late Mrs Alison McGuigan for her enthusiasm and support in the project.
