Glenlola Collegiate Celebrates Outstanding Examination Results

Congratulations to our pupils as they celebrate their success in this year’s GCSE and A-level examinations.

At Advanced Level, almost one quarter of all grades achieved were either A* or A, with 12 pupils obtaining at least 3 A* or A grades and just under one third of the year group attaining at least 3 grades at A*- B level.

At AS level, almost one third of all grades achieved were A and two thirds of all grades were B or better. One in six pupils obtained at least 3 A* or A grades and well over half of the year group attained at least 3 grades at A*- B level. Fifteen pupils secured 4 A grades.

Once again our Year 12 girls have achieved excellent GCSE results. An outstanding 98.1% of pupils gained at least 5 Grades A*- C while almost half of all grades achieved were either A* or A. Forty three pupils achieved 7 or more A*-A grades with 12 securing 10 A* or A grades.

We are especially proud of the individual performances of Anna Henry who achieved 10A* grades and of Charlotte Hamilton and Emilie Vose who each secured 9A*s and 1A.

Headmaster Mr Thompson commented,

“The girls have worked extremely hard to achieve these well-deserved results and I congratulate them on their success. Thanks are due to their teachers for the dedication they have shown throughout the year, without which the girls could not achieve their full potential and also to parents for their vital support and encouragement.”
