District Athletics Successes

The Inter and Senior Co Down District Athletics competition took place at the Mary Peter’s track on Wednesday 2 May.  Our girls did us proud once again:

Inters:

Rebecca Webb – 1^st in Long Jump

Libby Morton – 1^st in 300m hurdles

Louise Canning – 1^st in 100m

Anna McCarroll – 1^st in Hammer

Kirsten Hanna – 2^nd in High Jump

Ruby Houstoun – 3^rd in Discus

Zoe Steen – 3^rd in Shot

Zoe Stewart – 3^rd in Hammer

Brooke Stranaghan – 3^rd in 80m Hurdles

4 x 100m Relay – 1^st (Rebecca Webb, Louise Canning, Libby Morton, Katie McGonigle and Megan Drummond)

 

Seniors:

Emily Johnston – 1^st in 400m

Anna Charlick – 2^nd in 100m

4 x 300m Relay – 2^nd (Emily Johnston, Anna Charlick, Aimee Johnston and Heidi Quinn).

Zara Dowds – 3^rd in Senior Hammer

 

All the girls have now qualified to compete at the Ulster Schools’ Finals on 19^th May.
