Success for Sea Cadets

Congratulations to three of our Y11 pupils who have recently won Silver medals at the National Sea Cadets Combined Regatta which took place in the London Excel Centre.

The team, comprised of Emily Osborne, Sarah Wong and Amy Atwell, has competed in the Junior event for the past two years, securing second place in 2011 and third place in 2012 in the 12-14yrs category.

This year they faced fierce competition from 17 yr old participants and managed to secure the Silver medal despite the two year age difference.

Speaking on behalf of the team, Emily Osborne commented,

“It was an amazing achievement to be placed second as we were competing against 17 yr olds. We all thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of the competition, the sportsmanship and the satisfaction of pushing ourselves to the absolute limit. Next year, we are determined to bring home the Gold medal!”
