Gymnastics Success
On Friday 1 May, 12 members of our Gymnastics team travelled to England to compete in the British Schools Gymnastics Finals, facing some of the top schools from across the UK. The standard of competition extremely high.
Both our U13 and U19 teams achieved outstanding success, each securing a bronze medal at this elite schools level.
Our U13 team – Maddie Johnson, Eden Johnston, Zara McCambley, Eva Lawther, Charlotte O’Brien, Daysie Creighton – narrowly missed out on gold by just 0.5 points—an incredible achievement.
Our U19 team – Ashten Adair, Evie Corbridge, Keira Creaney, Anna Dobbin, Rosa Hicks, Isla Parkes – also performed superbly to claim bronze in a highly competitive section.
In addition, five of the girls competed in the individual tumbling event, again with fantastic results.
In her final school gymnastics competition, Ashten earned a bronze medal in the U19 category.
Isla placed 8th and Anna 11th in the U16 category, while Maddie finished 7th and Charlotte 14th in the U13 category.
Many congratulations to the gymnasts who competed, these are truly outstanding results!
