Athletics Results

The Ulster Schools Athletics championships were held on Friday and Saturday. Once again Glenlola enjoyed some notable success. The results were as follows:

Friday Night:

Rose McGreevy won a bronze medal in the Junior girls 75m hurdles

Brooke Stranaghan finished 4^th in Inter girls 80m Hurdles

Zara Dowds finished 5^th in the senior girls hammer

Anna McCarroll finished 7^th in the Inter girls hammer

Zoe Stewart finished 9^th in the inter girls hammer

The 4 x 300m relay team finished 2^nd. The team were Anna Charlick, Heidi Quinn, Emily Johnston and Aimee Johnston

 

Saturday:

Poppy Dann finished 6^th in the Mini 100m and won a gold medal in the mini girls long jump

Devon Sprake finished 8^th in the Minor 100m

Sarah Eadie finished 6^th in the junior 100m

Megan Drummond finished 4^th in the junior 100m and 5^th in the junior long jump

Louise Canning won a bronze medal in the inter girls 100m

Anna Charlick finished 5^th in the senior girls 100m

Shannan Farrall finished 4^th in the minor girls high jump

Emily Johnston finished 2^nd in the senior girls 400m

Rebecca Webb finished 5^th in the inter girls long jump

Libby Morton finished 7^th in the 300m hurdles

Zoe Steen finished 6^th in the inter girls shot

Kirsten Hanna finished 6^th in the inter girls high jump

 

The junior relay team won gold medals in the 4 x 100m relay. The team were Sarah Eadie, Aimee Boyd, Devon Sprake and Rose McGreevy

The Inter relay team also won gold medals in the 4 x 100m relay. The team were Megan Drummond, Louise Canning, Libby Morton and Rebecca Webb.

 

Emily Johnston and the 3 relay teams mentioned above will now compete at the Irish Schools championships in Tullamore on Saturday 2^nd June.
