Swiss Guests visit Glenlola
On Tuesday 9 October we had a group of Swiss guests in to visit the school. The group came over from St Gallen which is celebrating 1400 years after St Gall left Bangor and headed through Europe, finally settling in Switzerland and founding the town of St Gallen which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You may have noticed the flower tribute outside the Post Office in Bangor with the bear, which is associated with St Gall.
The group started off their day at St Gall’s Church of Ireland before going on to visit Bangor Abbey, the Heritage Centre and then came for a quick lunch in our library with our girls in Years 13 and 14 who are learning German.
