Soroptimists (NI) Public Speaking Competition

Last night Glenlola pupils Poppy Simpson, Eva Posner, Lainey Workman and Aeryn McAneney competed in the regional Soroptimists (NI) Public Speaking Competition, alongside pupils from other schools including St Columbanus, Glastry, Strathern and Regent House.

All four girls performed brilliantly, giving speeches on topics ranging from space travel, to war, to pondering whether we’ll ever become a cashless society.

We are delighted to share that Lainey placed second, and Eva first – she is now through to the NI finals in Hillsborough in February.  A fantastic achievement, well done girls!
