Irish Schools Athletics Success, June 2016

Glenlola girls continued their run of Athletics successes at the Irish Schools’ Athletics Championships in Tullamore, Co. Offaly on Saturday, 4 June 2016.

Elleana Hull won Silver Medal in the Senior Girls’ Javelin.

Junior Girls were silver medallists in the 4 x 100m Relay. The team was Elaina Vaughan, Louise Canning, Libby Morton and Rebecca Webb.

Senior Girls won the 4 x 100m Relay. The Team was Anna Charlick, Saskia Greer, Elleana Hull and Ellen Robinson.

Other notable results at the championships were:

• Rebekah Rutherford finished 6^th in the Senior Girls’ High Jump and 7^th in the Senior Girls’ Long Jump.
• Esther Lau finished 7^th in the Senior Girls’ Hammer.
• Rebecca Webb finished 4^th in the Junior Girls’ Long Jump.
• Libby Morton finished 8^th in the Junior Girls’ High Jump.
• Zoe Steen finished 6^th in the Minor Girls’ Shot Putt.

Rebecca Webb has also been selected to represent Ulster at the Inter-provincials in Santry on 25 June.
