How Far in an Hour Charity Event

Dear Parent/ Guardian

On Tuesday 23rd June, Glenlola Collegiate is running a whole school charity event and we would be delighted if you and your family got involved. Our ‘How Far in an Hour’ challenge involves walking, running or cycling for one hour to see how far you can get. Your child will then upload the distance completed in miles to their form class area, on Google Classroom.

With pupils not currently in School we felt that doing something charitable to help others echoed the values of Glenlola Collegiate and that by playing an active part in this event it would help raise money for our main School Charity, Charlene’s Project. Anything raised will really make a difference to the lives of young people in Africa and help turn the current situation, that we are experiencing, into something positive.

Once you have completed the one-hour challenge, please share this link and donate using the GoFundMe link below. There will also be a small prize for the pupil who walks, runs and cycles the furthest in each year group.

We hope you will enjoy this whole School charity event and thank you in advance ofencouraging family and friends to get involved. It will mean so much to Charlene’s Project that they have not been forgotten about at this time. Please remind all participants taking part that social distancing guidelines apply.

Thank you again for your support.

Yours sincerely
