Glenlola Pupil Celebrates Success at Horse of the Year Show

Congratulations to Year 12 pupil, Phoebe Beaumont who has won her class at the prestigious HOYS in Birmingham earlier today.

This is an achievement at the highest level, as top show jumper John Whitaker highlights: “Winning at HOYS is the pinnacle of every equestrian’s career.”

Competing on Edie, stable name Rocha, (Castleside JJ – Carraig Ban- Castleside Carraig. Breeder WMcCloskey, owner Jan Beaumont), Phoebe qualified for HOYS 143cms Working Hunter Pony of the Year at Northern Ireland Festival, Cavan.

Commenting on this success, Headmaster Eric Thompson said, “This is an outstanding achievement which has been the result of many years’ training and competing in this event. I commend Phoebe for her unwavering dedication and commitment to the sport. She is an excellent role model for our other pupils.”
