Young Enterprise

Young enterprise is open to Year 13 pupils and is delivered across an academic year. It gives them an opportunity to get an insight into entrepreneurship by setting up and running their own business in school.

They

• Receive training in the working of business from YENI.
• Are assigned a local business mentor.
• Are provided opportunities to sell their product or service.

The pupils have the opportunity to develop employability competencies such as self-esteem, problem solving and resilience. As the company is run entirely by the students themselves they will develop skills in team work, money management and decision making. It provides a platform to nurture and cultivate career aspirations and confidence through a hands-on programme.
