The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Pupils in Years 10 – 14 are given the opportunity to sign up to the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver or Gold Award Scheme.  Pupils take on the responsibility of organising and committing to extra-curricular activities that require volunteering, physical activity, developing a skill and going on a residential (for the Gold Award only).  The Expedition element of the Award Scheme takes place at weekends in the spring and summer terms.  Training to prepare for this element takes place at allocated lunchtimes throughout the School Year.
