District Schools Athletics Success
On Thursday 12 May, the Year 8, 9 and 10 athletes from Glenlola Collegiate competed at the District Schools athletics championships.
Some notable results were as follows:
Zara McKearney won the Mini Girls Shot Putt
Zoe Steen won the Minor Girls Shot and the Junior Girls Discus, setting a new record in the process
Libby Morton won the Junior Girls High Jump and came 5th in the 75m hurdles
Rebecca Webb finished 2nd in the Junior Girls Long Jump and 3rd in the 100m
The Mini Girls 4 x 100 Relay team finished 3rd, the team was Sarah Eadie, Rose McGreevy, Aimee Boyd and Alice Johnston.
The Junior Girls won their 4 x 100 relay, the team was Elaina Vaughan, Louise Canning, Libby Morton and Rebecca Webb.
