Year 14 Psychology Students get their Thinking Caps on

Brainy Year 14 students got their thinking caps on this week! They produced hats to model the structure of the brain as part of the Biopsychology topic on the Psychology A level course. They covered the concepts of localisation, lateralisation and plasticity on this part of the course.  

Irish Bouldering Champion

Congratulations to Year 10 pupil Faith Blaney who  competed in Dublin on Saturday at the Irish Bouldering Championships, and won the gold medal. School wishes Faith every success in the upcoming Youth Climbing Final on 27th & 28th April.

Choral Festival Success

Glenlola Collegiate Chamber Choirs gave outstanding performances at Bangor International Choral Festival this week.  The Junior Chamber Choir were winners in the Under 15 Class.  Lucy Crutchley Year 9 received the award on behalf of the Choir The Senior Chamber Choir were joint runners-up in the Grammar Schools class. Well done girls!      

Climbing Success

Faith Blaney, Year 10, competed in the last round of the Youth Climbing Series in Dublin on Saturday 23 March and placed first. The NICMAC championships were held on Saturday 9th March at Lisburn Leisureplex.  Glenlola girls gave outstanding performances: The Junior Team was crowned NICMAC Champions  and also achieved the highest team score in the competition (196/200).
