Year 11 Geography Controlled Assessment
In June, our GCSE Geography students travelled to Magilligan Field Centre, near Limavady to complete part of their Controlled Assessment. The group studied the Curly Burn River to see how it changed downstream. They looked at width, depth, velocity and load, each taking it in turns to collect data.
Once all the data had been collected, the groups returned to the Field Centre classroom to collate their results. Then they were given time to write their introduction and present their data. The pupils worked extremely hard during their time at the centre and enjoyed some ‘time out’. The remainder of the Controlled Assessment will now be completed in school.
