Year 13 Biologists attend STEM Module Workshop
On Thursday 3 October, Year 13 Biology pupils were treated to a microscopy workshop on the inter-board STEM module. They had the opportunity to use flexicams connected to laptops, binocular microscopes and view various insects using a 3D light scanning microscope.
Many thanks to Jackie and Nigel, who ran the workshops and thrilled the girls with images from the on board electron microscope. The lesson on the techniques required to prepare biological material to use in the electron microscope will be most useful when the girls cover this in their theory lessons.
