Year 13 Business Studies Success
Year 13 Business Studies students celebrate success in the NI Business Challenge
On Wednesday 12 February, a group of five Year 13 Business Studies students (Elsa Collins, Ailie Greer, Kirsten Hanna, Shana Martin and Emer Malcolm) demonstrated their business aptitude by winning the QUB Northern Ireland Business Challenge for Schools 2020. The initiative, now in its third year, is a partnership between BDO Northern Ireland, Queen’s Management School and the Henderson Group.
As part of the event, pupils were tasked to prepare and deliver a fifteen-minute presentation based on a real scenario provided by the Henderson Group answering pertinent areas of business including Strategic Decision Making, Technology, Sustainability and Food Waste.
The event, which was hosted by Queen’s University Management School, was a fulfilling learning experience that allowed students to gain a first-hand practical experience to the complexities of operating in the dynamic business environment.
Many thanks to Queen’s University, Belfast and to the event sponsors, the Henderson Group and BDO NI, for an enjoyable and enriching day.
