Glenlola 1st XI Hockey Super Cup Winners
Congratulations to Glenlola Collegiate’s ISTXI Hockey Team who won the Super Cup final against Grosvenor Grammar School on Wednesday 21st November. The game was decided with a penalty shoot-out after the score at fulltime was 2-2. Goals scored during the game by Erin Brown and Libby Morton. Brooke Stewart the Glenlola Collegiate goalkeeper was the hero in the penalty shoot – out saving 3 of the 5 shots.
The team consisted of: Lauren Clarke, Abbie King, Jodie Moore, Erin Brown, Ruby Houstoun, Grace Arnold, Libby Morton, Rebecca Webb, Tessa Quinn, Brooke Stewart, Katie McGonigle, Zoe Stewart, Emma Glenn, Brooke Stranaghan, Maddy McLean.
Head Coach, Mrs Janice Heasley said,
“Overall this was a fantastic team performance and a much deserved win for our girls.”
Commenting on this outstanding success, Headmaster Eric Thompson said,
“School is immensely proud of the team. This is the result of hard work over a number of years on the part of the girls and their coaches and I want to thank all of them for the resilience and determination that they have shown. I am delighted that they are now reaping the rewards.”
