Rotary Youth Leadership Achievement

Massive congratulations to Year 13 pupil Katie McDowell.

Katie recently was awarded the Alf Buchanan Trophy as winner  of the Donaghadee Youth Leadership Rotary Competition and went on to take part in the Regional Finals which were held in the Stormont Hotel last week.

Katie won this regional event and will now travel to Strasbourg in March to take part in a Global Youth Conference organised by Rotary International.

This is a fantastic achievement and well deserved.

 

In the space of three weeks, Katie has won the

  • Donaghadee Heat of the Rotary Youth Leadership Competition
  • Soroptomists’ NI Public Speaking Competition – Bangor Heat
  • Regional Final Rotary Youth Leadership Competition
  • Member of the Bar Mock Trials’ Team who were Runners Up.
