German Exchange Students Visit Glenlola

Willkommen in Bangor!

Pupils from Glenlola Collegiate were delighted to welcome their German Exchange partners to Northern Ireland from 2-7 May as part of our well-established exchange programme with the Felix-Klein-Gymnasium in Göttingen. Our visitors were able to experience everyday school life here at Glenlola, as well as enjoying excursions to Titanic Belfast, Stormont, the Giant’s Causeway and Dunluce Castle. A beautiful week of sunshine and blue skies allowed our visitors to see the famous Northern Irish scenery at its finest. Friendships established during our visit to Göttingen in February continued to blossom during their visit to Bangor, with wonderful cultural and linguistic experiences shared by all, and lifelong memories made.

Thank you to parents and pupils who kindly hosted our German visitors during their stay for their kindness and warm welcome, which was greatly appreciated and made their stay all the more memorable and enjoyable.
