British Sign Language

Year 13 pupils get the opportunity to learn basic British Sign Language.  The girls have to apply for their position on the 10 week course.  Sign Language takes place on Monday afternoons from 3.30-4.15pm.

• Alphabet
• Meeting and Greeting people
• How to count in Sign Language
• Colours
• Learning descriptions for family members

By the end of the course, pupils are able to have a short conversation in British Sign Language and have to complete a short test in order to receive a certificate of participation.
