Modern Foreign Languages Choir
Pupils in Years 8 – 10 are all welcome to become members of the Junior and Senior Modern Languages Choirs here at Glenlola Collegiate School. This is an enjoyable and beneficial way for pupils to explore and enhance their language skills and cultural understanding through music. Pupils meet on a weekly basis to learn songs from across the French, German and Spanish speaking worlds, improving their comprehension and pronunciation, and enhancing their confidence in speaking another language. Some of the songs are showcased during the school’s Carol Service, Open Night and Spring Concert.
In MFL choir, pupils from years 11 to 14 are given the opportunity to sing a selection of songs from various genres in French, German and Spanish. As well as being enjoyable, this club supports language learning and encourages progress in comprehension and pronunciation.
Some of the songs covered are showcased during the school’s Carol Service and during the Spring Concert.
