Subject Overview
If you are thinking of a career in health, social care, early years or community justice this is an option that will help build relevant knowledge as well as practical understanding and experience. You need an interest in people and the desire to make a difference as well as self-motivation to work consistently and meet deadlines.

What will I study?
The GCE A Level in Health & Social Care is comprised of 6 units (3 in Year 13; 3 in Year 14). The units are:

How Will I Be Assessed?
In Year 13 and Year 14 there will be:
- 2 Portfolios (Coursework)
- 1 Examination
- Year 13 exam: 2 hours
- Year 14 exam: 2 hours
