SUMMARY:Year 12 Study Skills Workshop - ‘Laugh in the Face of Exams’
DESCRIPTION:Year 12 Study Skills Workshop  \nWe have booked an agency named ‘Tree of Knowledge’ to present a motivational and study skills workshop entitled ‘Laugh in the Face of Exams’ to our Year 12 pupils.  This event has been a great success in previous years.  Our pupils felt it was very helpful for motivation and study methods.  The presenter used humour to both get\, and keep\, the pupils’ attention.   \nAreas which will be addressed are:  \n·                   The importance of whole brain learning  \n·                   Emotional intelligence in young people and adults  \n·                   Benefits of relaxation  \n·                   The wonderful world of your mind and how consciously/sub-consciously you think  \n·                   The effect dreams and aspirations have on us all  \nWe feel that it is important for all pupils to be able to attend a workshop which focuses on skills necessary for success throughout their academic careers.
