SUMMARY:Ulster Schools Derby 2019
DESCRIPTION:Glenlola Collegiate School is pleased to announce that the 7th Ulster Schools’ Derby competition will take place on Thursday 20 June 2019 at Gransha Equestrian Centre\, Bangor. \nOpen to all full-time students\, under the age of 19\, entries are welcome from primary schools\, post-primary schools and further education colleges. Four classes will be held: Primary Individual\, Newcomer\, Novice and Open. Both the Novice and Open classes will have individual and team competitions. Prizes will also be awarded for Individual turn out in each of the four classes. \nThe course will consist of show jumps\, working hunter fences and portable/solid cross country obstacles and will be contained within an outdoor\, all-weather arena. \nWe are once again delighted to have several local sponsors on board including Autokleen\, Spar (Rathmore Road)\, finance firm Brewin Dolphin (Belfast) and U-Hire (NI). Rosettes will once again be sponsored by Jim Devonport butchers (Donaghadee) and Botanica have kindly donated hampers for the turnout winner of each class. \nAs this event is a fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support there will be a generous prize awarded to the competitor who raises the most sponsorship money. \nCatering will be available on the day. \nEntry forms are being sent to schools but if you do not receive one and would like to compete\, please click on the links for entry information and entry form.
